Budget Surplus is $5.7 BILLION

BC’s upcoming budget will be announced soon, on February 28. I was reading an article in the Vancouver Sun and was shocked by this line:

The government’s most recent economic update forecasts a budget surplus of $5.7 billion this year

Don’t tell me the Province can’t afford to fund Starbright or extend individualized funding to all deserving kids. It’s just not a priority for them.
